Hi, I’m Lydia — the human behind Hoppiness Pet Care. I’ve worked with all sorts of animals over the years (in one way or another!) from zoo critters to rescue dogs in the US. I’m currently studying L3 Small Animal Care to make sure your pets get the best care they deserve. I offer friendly, reliable dog walks & home visits that are tailored to your pet’s needs (and quirks!). Fully insured, DBS checked, and totally animal-obsessed, I treat your pets like they’re part of the family. Whether they’re bouncy, shy, or somewhere in between, they’ll be in safe, caring hands — and probably a bit spoiled, too!

I have been a Professional Dog Walker and Cat Visitor since 2001 and qualified in 2012 as a Companion Animal Bereavement Counsellor with The Animal Care College and, provided Pet Bereavement Support sessions working with a local vets for over two years (2017 to 2019) before moving to Dorset in July 2019. Prior to the ‘lockdown’ I had been in contact with local vets with a view to providing a similar service – I am hoping it will not be too much longer before I am able to contact these vets once again as this is a much needed service. I’m a retired doctor from London. I’m a total pet lover. Admitted to cats and dogs, I’ll do my best for your pets to feel comfortable with me while you’re away. I have been cat- and dog-sitting for 10 years. I have been dog walking for 4 years. I love it with all my heart. Your best pets will feel loved and secure when I’m with them. I’m a book-worm, love arts, and cooking. But my real passion is four-pawed adorable creatures. I have 3 wonderful cats and 1 magnificent dog. I always help cats and dogs who are in trouble. I’m very calm and trustworthy, non-smoking, non-drinking, reliable, responsible and tidy.
